Who We Are — Kirati

The Kirati people, also known as Kirant or Kiranti, are a group of indigenous ethnic groups from Nepal. They are believed to have migrated to the region around 1000 BCE and have a rich cultural heritage, including their own language, customs, and traditions. The Kirati people are primarily concentrated in the eastern region of Nepal and are known for their animistic religious practices and unique traditional music and dance.

They also have a strong tradition of agriculture and are known for their skilled craftsmanship in woodworking and metalworking.

Today, the Kirati people are an important part of the cultural and social fabric of Nepal, and their unique customs and traditions continue to be celebrated and preserved.
